Teens Pepper Sprayed in Street Fight

Police said some of the teens involved in the Halloween night fight were wearing skeleton costumes

Several teenagers were pepper sprayed during a street fight in Mira Mesa on Wednesday night, authorities confirmed.

The fight began around 8:45 p.m. in the 11300 block of Zapata Drive.

Authorities said several teens dressed up in Halloween costumes got into a physical fight. Some were pepper sprayed and one sustained a minor cut, officials said.

Medics transported one teen to the hospital to get treatment for a small cut to the arm.

No major injuries were reported.

By the time police arrived at the scene, some of the suspects had already fled. Police said some of the outstanding suspects were dressed in skeleton costumes.

It is unclear at this point how or why the fight began in the first place.
