One person was hospitalized in critical condition after falling approximately 40 feet from Sunset Cliffs.
Lifeguards and firefighters were called to the rescue around 2 a.m. Monday in a section of the cliffs near Ladera Street in Ocean Beach.
They found two people on the beach below the cliffs. One person was able to walk away without any major injuries.
However, the second person was airlifted to UCSD Medical Center where he was said to be in critical condition.
