The 4th of July will be a busy day at San Diego's public parks, but many of the city's other departments will be closed.
Here's what's closed on Independence Day, according to City News Service:
- Government offices
- Libraries
- Banks
- Schools
- Courts
- Miramar Recycling Center
- Agua Caliente and Vallecito County Parks
- Community centers in Fallbrook, Lakeside and Spring Valley
The Metropolitan Transit System and North County transit systems will run on a Sunday schedule. There will be no MTS Premium or Express Routs, except Express Route 20, which runs on a Sunday schedule.
Trash pickup will be delayed a day for Waste Management and EDCO customers. It will be pushed back a day for City of San Diego residents.
