Sounds Like San Diego: September 20

If you've ever been to a massive stadium concert and seen stacks of amps dotted around the stage, chances are they were "dummy" stacks, hollow without speakers and totally non-functional. A band that rhymes with Buns n' Hoses had this effect at a recent show. But when you see Dinosaur Jr., you can be assured it's the real deal, and if you don't believe it, just wait for the music to start and you know that they never play under 11. Tonight's sold-out show at the Belly Up is in support of their latest, "Give a Glimpse of What Yer Not," and it's gonna be super rad. If you didn't grab tickets, fret not, as there are still tickets to the Observatory to see Animal Collective, who released their first record since 2012 earlier this year, or IAMX, a founding member of Sneaker Pimps, playing at the Casbah.
