Sounds Like San Diego: March 18

Bad Religion's Greg Graffin sells out House of Blues

I once saw Greg Graffin at a solo show at the Casbah, and I thoroughly enjoyed hearing him as a keynote speaker at San Diego Music Thing, but it wasn't until last fall's Ye Scallywag festival at Waterfront Park that I finally -- though I considered myself a fan for decades -- got to see Bad Religion live. And that was before the election. I cannot even imagine what Greg might have to say these days, and for the sold out crowd at the House of Blues, I imagine it will be quite a unifying and cathartic experience. Meanwhile, Jungle Fire celebrate a record release at the Casbah with their "Afro-Latin psychedelic funk," Yellowcard return to the Observatory for a last hurrah as they play their final shows and James Chance & the Contortions play Hideout. Of course, Fartbarf -- probably my favorite band name in recent history -- are playing Soda Bar, so you might just want to get down and dirty with them.
