Sounds Like San Diego: August 1

Givers, River Whyless, Swearin' and G-Eazy are just a few of Wednesday's top live-music attractions

I have a great music-loving partner who gets super mad when touring artists route around San Diego, say, going from LA to Phoenix or Tucson. I have the opposite problem, in that I get upset when two amazing shows rival one another. Like wouldn't Givers and River Whyless be an amazing co-headlining bill? But no, tonight we'll be divided between NOLA's Givers -- who haven't been around in quite some time -- at Soda Bar or South Carolinian indie-folk act River Whyless at Casbah. Both shows promise to be amazing and each only has one opener, which means after the show, you might have the time to catch Swearin' at Whistle Stop, since their shows tend to go on a little later.
