O.B. Street Fair Is This Saturday

Need an excuse to hang out by the beach this weekend? The funky and festive Ocean Beach Street Fair will stretch along Newport Avenue this Saturday, featuring hundreds of tents housing jewelry makers, artisan food vendors, and artists for your perusing pleasure. Five live music stages will line the route to entertain shoppers, with jazz singer Tori Roze, rock band Dazed and Confused and Celtic rockers The Fooks headlining. While your jamming with the bands at the Main Stage, pop into Liquorland, the beachside beer garden sponsored by local brewery Karl Strauss and O.B. dive bar Winstons. And what pairs better with beer than chili? This year 30 chefs will compete for the title of 'best in beans' at the annual Chili Cook-Off. Tastings are two-for-$1. Saturday, June 25, 10 a.m.-8 p.m.
