Music fans, ready to save some money? It’s that wonderful time of year again, when live-entertainment behemoth Live Nation discounts individual tickets to 1,000 shows across the country to only $20 each -- for one week only during their annual “$20 Kickoff to Summer” promotion.

For San Diego, that means we’ve got a bounty of hotly anticipated concerts on the horizon that you can now snag seats for -- at a fraction of the price it would’ve cost you yesterday. From Friday, May 13 through Friday, May 20, some of the most in-demand stops at Sleep Train Amphitheatre and SDSU’s Cal Coast Credit Union Open Air Theatre see their individual ticket prices slashed to just one Andrew Jackson-clad bill.

For the country music lovers out there, the $20 Kickoff to Summer is your ticket to some good, cost-efficient times with Brad Paisley, Rascal Flatts, Dixie Chicks, and Dierks Bentley. If rock & roll is more your speed, Joe Walsh and Bad Company, 91x’s X-Fest (with Cheap Tricks, the Offspring, Wolfmother and more), Brand New and Modest Mouse, Weezer, and Journey are just a few of your best bets.

There’s literally something for everyone, and for a limited time only, tickets are only $20 apiece. Big shows for a little cash. Not too shabby -- and a fine way to kick off the summer.

Visit LiveNation.com/kickoff for more information and tickets.
