Sometimes there's some trickery to booking, but while I've often known "An Evening With" generally means a longer set and no opener, it isn't always the case. I guess I just want to make that clear, because I've noticed people still end up showing up late and missing half the show, not expecting the show time on the ticket to match the actual showtime in real life. And that would especially suck when you're going to see Johnny Marr at House of Blues, because he has so much material to pull from, so it would suck to miss your favorites. Get there early and stay for the ride. Around town, Monday night is actually looking pretty great: Hexa headline Casbah, which never disappoints, an unsearchable band called Brushed headline Soda Bar, Low End headline the Che and Belly Up is in for some Hawaiian music with Willie K.
