Weekend Events for Feb. 22-24

It might be cold outside, but San Diego has some hot events going on throughout the county.

Friday, Feb. 22

Food Truck Friday
5 p.m. at Orfila Vineyards & Winery
Try a variety of different food trucks, including popular ones like Devilicious and GreenGo Grilled Cheese, all in one place. A musician will serenade you as you munch on delicious local fare and stroll through the winery. Admission is free, food is available for purchase.

San Diego Opera: Samson and Delilah

7 p.m. at San Diego Civic Theater
Never been to the opera? You’re in for a treat with this month’s performance of Samson and Delilah. Tickets start at $50.

Saturday, Feb. 23

Black Mountain Summit Run
9 a.m. at Black Mountain in Torrey Hills
Run or walk this San Diego trail while raising money for sustainable projects in Africa. Day-of registration fee is $45.

Guacamole Bowl

10 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at Balboa Park Club
Eating guacamole for s good cause sounds like something most San Diegans would want to do. For $5 you can try a variety of different guacamole made by local teams and vote for your favorite. The event benefits athletes with developmental disabilities.

Sunday, Feb. 24

Museum Month

It’s the last weekend to take advantage of Museum Month, where dozens of San Diego places offer half-off admission.

Art Mart
10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Balboa Park
Check out what local artists have created at this weekend’s Art Mart. Dozens of crafts, paintings and sculpture will be available for purchase, or you can simply browse for fun.
