Celebs to Judge New Prom Looks

    Still, the prom goes on.

    One of the finalists from the sixth season of Project Runway will be one of the celebrity judges for a fundraiser/fashion show Thursday in the Gaslamp.

    Up and coming designers from the Fashion Institute of Design & Merchandising (FIDM) will compete in a prom dress design competition at Confidential from 6 to 9 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 11.

    Designer Gordana Gehlhausen joins a number of judges including the founder of Thread Lara Matthews, the name behind Riviera Magazine Gillian Flynn, Jason Wimberly of Rufskin and stylist Mahjuba Levine.

    Jodi Kodesh from NBC San Diego will emcee the event.

    Not only will you see great designs and enjoy drink and appetizer specials but you’ll also be able to bid on items in a silent auction. Proceeds will benefit The Princess Project, a non-profit that provides dresses and accessories to high school girls who otherwise couldn’t afford them.

    In fact, you can drop off a donated prom dresses at the event.

    Tickets will be $25 at door with FREE 3 hour validated Parking at Horton Plaza or $8 Valet Parking at Gaslamp Suites (Corner of 5th and E Street).
