Shacknai Requests Autopsy Photos of Son

The judge issued a tentative ruling granting Dina Shacknai access to autopsy photos taken of her son

The mother of the 6-year-old boy who died at the Coronado Spreckels Mansion has requested the San Diego County to turn over the autopsy photos of her son.

Max died from spinal cord injuries last July after a fall from a staircase at the Spreckels mansion in Coronado. Two days after the fall, Jonah Shacknai’s girlfriend Rebecca Zahau was found hanging nude by a rope around her neck from the second-story balcony above the home's courtyard. The death was later ruled a suicide by officials.

The judge issued a tentative ruling granting Dina Shacknai access to autopsy photos taken of her son Max in court on Friday.

Dina Shacknai filed the lawsuit last month after requests for the photos were turned down by county officials.

No one from either side appeared in court.
