Two people were arrested Monday after fire damaged beachfront property in Point Loma.

Arson investigators were at the scene of a house fire along Sunset Cliffs near Guizot Street.

San Diego Fire Rescue crews received a call of a fire on the second story of the two-story house around 2 a.m. The home appeared to be occupied but may have been used as a rental property officials said.

Neighbors told NBC 7 San Diego that no one lives in the house full-time.

It took crews 25 minutes to knock the fire down.

Police detained two people for questioning but would not confirm
if the two individuals were involved in the fire.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
