A Marine from Camp Pendleton died in while serving in Afghanistan on Sunday.
The Department of Defense announced Lance Corporal Norberto Hernandez was killed in action while conducting combat operations in Helmand province, Afghanistan.
He was assigned to the 5th Marine regiment at Camp Pendleton.
The Marine was 22 years old from Logan, Utah.
