Boil Water in Effect in Northeast SD Community

Wildness Gardens County Park water system ordered to boil water

A boil water is in order near one northeast San Diego community after county officials found a dangerous bacteria in the water.

A boil water order is in effect for the Wildness Gardens County Park's water system in Pala, according to a notice from the County of San Diego.

Water is serviced to several drinking fountains and one volunteer residence in the park.

The system tested positive for coliforn bacteria, but did not have any E. coli. in it.

Coliform bacteria comes from the soil, and often indicates problems with the water supply system.

The boil water order will be in effect until the distribution system has been disinfected.
