Are Comic Books Still The Essence Of Comic-Con?

Big movies and TV shows get the headlines but the books are still the show's soul

Another year of the greatest show in the entertainment industry has come and gone.

Comic-Con has become more like Popular Culture-Con. What started as a way for comic book lovers to come together has grown in to a marketing tool of unbelievable power.

But, as one comic book movie said, with great power comes great responsibility. Is Comic-Con still a place for comic book lovers to congregate? Or has it become something so large that it's almost choked out the very thing that gave it life?
