A San Diego school was placed on lockdown just after 11 a.m. Tuesday after a report of shots fired near campus.

San Diego police searched the area around Monroe Clark Middle School in City Heights and placed several people in custody.

Someone called police at 10:48 a.m. reporting they heard three shots on Thorn Street.

The school is located at Thorn and Fairmont Avenue.

Officers found one shell casing on the street and searched a nearby apartment complex. As of 12:09 p.m., they planned a curbside lineup with suspects to identify if any were involved in the shooting.

No injuries have been reported.
