Grammy winner Taylor Swift cancelled a sold-out concert in Louisville, Ky. on Saturday night under doctor's orders because of an illness, according to her website.
Details of her illness were not immediately available, The Courier-Journal of Louisville reported.
Swift broke the news to her nearly seven million followers early Saturday evening via Twitter.
"Louisville, I so sorry to have to postpone this show to Oct 11. This is my first time having to do this. I'm so, so sorry," she wrote.
Fans responded with a cascade of well wishes, marked with the Twitter tag #getwelltaylor.
The 21-year-old princess impersonator raved about her current tour in a June 30 post to her syrupy sweet "Midsummer Night's Blog."
"Playing shows on this tour is the best time I've ever had onstage. The crowds we've been playing for have been so unbelievable.. The kind of crowds that jump up and down the entire show, making our view from the stage look like a giant ocean of dancing, jumping people," she wrote.
Swift's next show, in Charlotte, N.C., is scheduled for less than a week after the cancelled show, on July 8.
