Betty White is a Calendar Girl

There’s also gonna be more of Betty White to see--this time on your wall.

White is going to have a 2011 calendar featuring her with a boom box and being catered by male servants, according to an interview in the upcoming issue of Parade magazine. She will also with her own apparel line, Proceeds from the sales of the calendar and the apparel will go to the Morris Animal Foundation. “I wanted them to feature dogs and cats, but the designers insisted on putting my face on the front,” she said.

The comic actress has been on a career role in the last year that included an Emmy-winning stint at guest host on "Saturday Night Live" and as one of the co-stars on the TV comedy "Hot in Cleveland." She attributes her knack of comic timing to her parents, not to mention a love for animals.

“They would come back from a walk with a dog, saying, ‘Betty, he followed us home. Can we keep him?’ My parents had a cat named Toby who liked to sit on my crib. My mom always said that if Toby hadn’t approved of the baby, she’d have gone straight back to the hospital.”

On the issue of gay marriage, White says she is fine if gays want to wed. Her iconic ‘80s show The Golden Girls has had a long following among gays.

“I don’t care who anybody sleeps with. If a couple has been together all that time—and there are gay relationships that are more solid than some heterosexual ones—I think it’s fine if they want to get married. I don’t know how people can get so anti-something. Mind your own business, take care of your affairs, and don’t worry about other people so much.”
