Evan Dando of the Lemonheads performing in London in 2006.

It's gotten to the point that every time Tthe Lemonheads come to town, I get texts and e-mails from friends reminding me about the shows. I have been a fan of the band for a very, very long time and have seen it and singer Evan Dando dozens of times -- even hung out with him more than a few times -- and if one thing can be said across the board, it's that you never know what to expect. I'm just happy the dude is still coming around to share the music of my angsty teen years, and Thursday at the Belly Up should be a good one. Of course, there are so many good shows, it's hard to call this one an outright winner, since Lou Barlow of Dinosaur Jr., Sebadoh and the Folk Implosion returns to the Casbah, and the buzzy Titus Andronicus make their mark at the Irenic. Besides that, the big show of the night that all of your friends are probably already committed to is the Foo Fighters at Sleep Train Amphitheatre, which is a little hard to ignore, since Dave Grohl is like the BFF of his most devout fans, and he just proves over and over what an annoyingly good guy he is.
