2010's SDMA winners for Best New Artist stopped by our studio before setting out to tour the U.S.Head over to their website to learn more about the band: www.littlehurricanemusic.com
I often feel like it's my job to conceal my enthusiasm for certain shows so as not to offend those whom might not have me quite so excited, but there is no way for me to pretend that I haven't been waiting to see Dawes for some time now. The band has been to San Diego before, but it was during a KPRi private listener show that my love for the band was cemented. When an family emergency left Dawes without one of their four members, they performed a full acoustic set that absolutely blew my mind. With comparisons to Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young hanging over their heads, their vocal harmonies, teamed with some amazing songwriting, make this a show not to miss.
