Wednesday brings several options to town, with locals holding it down as usual, but some great touring acts passing through as well. Kicking off their tour, Father John Misty -- the new project of J. Tillman of Fleet Foxes -- will certainly be a delight. Their debut album Fear Fun was released on SubPop yesterday along with a performance on the Late Show with David Letterman. Opening up the show is the crazy fun Har Mar Superstar. When he's in town, you never know what's going to happen, but expect to see some disrobing, audience participation and at least a little bit of dancing on top of the bar. If this show doesn't suit your fancy, Sara Watkins performs down the street at Anthology, while a solid tour with Say Anything, Kevin Devine, Fake Problems and Tallhart hits the House of Blues. Get there early because Fake Problems are phenomenal.
