    Pinback

This Friday is heavenly for lovers of great music. The Casbah welcomes the return of the Bronx who haven't played without their mariachi suits in quite some time, while local heros Pinback are on a national tour in support of Information Retrieved down at the House of Blues. That show is close to selling out, so make sure to head to the box office early if you don't have tickets already. Personally. I'm loving the new material from Tristan Prettyman, who kicks off a two-night stand at the Belly Up, but those are both sold out, too. You snooze, you lose, as they say. Around town, Schitzophonics, the Palominos, Manuok, and Shwayze invade your neighborhood watering holes, so it'll be hard to throw a rock and not hit a good show.
