If you're a numbers person, today might feel a little bit special with the written date of 12/12/12. And to celebrate, Adam Gimbel has reunited Twelve, the Spinal Tap tribute band that performed last year for 11/11/11. You can expect some pretty great and silly antics from Twelve as they perform at the Casbah along with Deadbolt and San Diego's original Robot band, Satanic Puppeteer Orchestra. But don't limit yourself because there are other great shows, like the country-inflected music of Justin Townes Earle at the Belly Up, newcomers Blondfire at 710 Beach Club and KPRI's Holiday Soiree at Balboa Theatre. Also note that the Public Enemy show moved from 4th & B to the House of Blues, but I think I'll head over to the Soda Bar to see Brandon of the Crocodiles perform alongside Dee Dee of the Dum Dum Girls. Brandon and Dee Dee have both had successful projects that blossomed in San Diego, and though their projects have performed together, this might be the first time they've performed together in this town, so it should be a pretty special night, indeed.
