It sometimes takes going somewhere else to appreciate what you have at home. I've been travelling a lot lately, and in talking to people in other cities, you learn just how special the places in San Diego really are. Lestat's is one of those places. If you haven't been by in a while, you might have this impression that you'll see some no-talent person crying into their mic with just a guitar.
You might still find those at open mic, but today's singer/songwriters are much more diverse, and the level of talent that comes through Lestat's is top-notch, whether they are touring bands or even our own homegrown musicians. Tonight, Steve Poltz returns from the road to play a very intimate show at Lestat's. Line up early and catch Mr. Poltz on one of the best-sounding stages in San Diego.
