    NEWSLETTERS

It's a beautiful weekend for blues by the Bay: San Diego Blues Fest kicks of at the Embarcadero. Check out such artists as Elvin Bishop and Rick Estrin, all while benefitting the San Diego Food Bank. By night, keep the blues going with Patrick Sweany at Soda Bar, head down to Chula Vista for your county fix with Blake Shelton and the Band Perry, or head up to the Belly Up for the crazy party that the Spazmatics bring. Of course, my sights are set on the Casbah, where the Burning of Rome bring their rock & rol circus, complete with tongue-in-cheek rap Grammatical B and the entertaining robot performance of Satanic Puppeteer Orchestra. Whatever way you go, this could be a really wild night if you let it.
