Over the last year, many San Diego musicians have embraced Twitter as a vehicle to promote, sell and distribute content. Additionally, some use the platform brilliantly as a virtual backstage pass into their daily lives (enhancing fan loyalty).
Every week, we scour the Twitter feeds of local musicians and highlight some of our faves, with the Top 5 Music tweets of the week.

3. One of my favorite tweeters, Steve Poltz, shared his thoughts on Russian ballet: "I wonder if it's too late for me to learn ballet? I want to dance in Russia at the Bolshoi Academy. I think I can do it. I KNOW I can do it."
4. Jon Foreman of Switchfoot checked in far away from Moonlight Beach in Encinitas: "Hanging out in a castle in England is not standard fare for me ... I'm feeling out of place and enjoying it."
