Michael Chabon and Wife Developing Magicians vs. Nazis Series for HBO

Pulitzer-prize winning author Michael Chabon and his wife, Ayelet Wadlman, are collaborating on a new series for HBO that will pit magicians against Nazis.

"Hobgoblin" will tell the story of "a motley group of conmen and magicians who use their skills at deception to battle Hitler and his forces during WWII," reported Variety.

This is the first project on which the spouses have worked together, and in addition to writing, they'll also be serving as executive producers.

In addition to novels like "The Wonder Boys," "The Amazing Adventures of Kavalier & Clay" and"The Yiddish Policemen's Union" (which the Coen Brothers are developing into a film), Chabon has worked on screenplays for "Spider-Man 2" and the currently filming "John Carter on Mars."

Aldman, whose novel "Love and Other Impossible Pursuits" was recently turned into a film titled "The Other Woman," starring Natalie Portman. She's perhaps best known for writing that "I love my husband more than I love my children,” a stance that set off a small firestorm of outrage among the punditry.
