It was not a good night for USD basketball. The men lost to Portland 69-55 up in Oregon. The women also lost to the Pilots, 74-68 at Jenny Craig Pavilion.

Gyno Pomare led the men with 18 points, but the Toreros shot just 2-of-10 from 3-point land while Portland hit 8-of-14 from beyond the arc. USD falls to 12-9 and 4-2 in the West Coast Conference.
For the women, Kiva Herman scored 17 for USD, but the Toreros never had a single lead against the Pilots. USD falls to 12-8 overall and 3-3 in the W.C.C.
So San Diego lost to Portland twice. But, we'll always have better weather.
