Padres Lose to Dodgers

L.A. beat San Diego 5-4 in Peoria

The Dodgers are still negotiating with Manny Ramirez.  They didn't need him to beat the Padres in the first ever Spring Training game between the Southern California rivals.  L.A. won 5-4 in Peoria.

Mitch Jones and Blake DeWitt both hit home runs for the Dodgers.  The Padres offense was typically lacking in pop.  They had 10 hits, but nine of them were singles.  Kyle Blanks, who's hitting .385 at first base while Adrian Gonzalez is off getting ready for the World Baseball Classic, had a double and scored a run.

Chris Young made his second start of the Spring and looked pretty good.  He tossed two innings, giving up just one run on one hit.
