Woman Stabbed to Death in South Bay

An apartment complex in San Ysidro was turned into a crime scene overnight on Wednesday, after a 32-year-old woman was fatally stabbed.

San Diego police responded to a 911 call that came in at 12:20 a.m. of "a woman screaming," said Lt. Kevin Rooney.  Officers and paramedics arrived at the same time, took her to a local trauma center, but she died an hour later.

Police say she had just been hanging out with friends and listening to music outside an apartment.  Several times, they say, she walked away for a brief period, but quickly returned.

The last time she disappeared, the friends did not know where she went or if she met up with anybody, however, they said that she returned injured.

Police have no suspect information to go off of.  If you have any information, you're asked to please call Crimestoppers.
