Deputies are investigating an alleged kidnapping attempt in broad daylight on a girl as she was walking home from school.
According to the San Diego Sheriff's, the incident took place Thursday around 5:30 p.m. near Scots Way and Midland Road in Poway. A 12-year-old girl told authorities that three Hispanic men in a white box-typed utility van stopped the car, then forced her into the vehicle.
Officials said the men were approximately 20 to 30 years old. One alleged abductor had a "military-style" flat top haircut, a dark complexion, with a chipped front tooth and slanted teeth.
Authorities said the men drove the girl around for up to a half an hour, and then dropped her off unharmed. Anyone with information is asked to call the Poway Sheriff's Station.
