San Diego may have some extra traffic this weekend because of ramp closures.
The connector ramps from eastbound and westbound State Route 78/Vista Way to southbound Interstate 5 will be closed for guardrail repair Sunday, Aug. 21 6 until 10 a.m. The southbound I-5 to eastbound and westbound State Route 78/Vista Way will also be closed.
Drivers on State Route 78/Vista Way will be detoured north on I-5 to Oceanside Boulevard, then west under the freeway and onto southbound I-5.
Southbound I-5 motorists will continue south to Las Flores Drive, cross over the freeway and take northbound I-5 to eastbound and westbound SR-78/Vista Way.
Signs will be placed to advise motorists of the closures and detour signs will assist motorists around the closures.
