Two motorcycle riders attempting to escape arrest skidded down a Hillcrest street early Sunday and the crash was captured on a store surveillance camera.

California Highway Patrol officers said the motorcycle was traveling at a high-rate of speed on State Route 163 at 8:26 a.m.

When an officer tried to stop the motorcycle, the driver exited the freeway at University Avenue.

As the motorcycle drove along 6th Avenue near Robinson, the driver lost control and crashed into a parked car.

Video from nearby Hillcrest Pawn just happened to capture the end result of the chase.

One person was transported to Scripps Mercy according to CHP officials.

The CHP officer involved in the pursuit was not injured.
