Man Robbed at Gunpoint in Front of Pregnant Wife in West Hollywood Garage

The victim, who did not want to be identified, said his wife has been left terrified by the attack.

Thieves put a gun to a man's head while his pregnant wife watched Wednesday during a parking garage robbery in West Hollywood.

The robbers approached the couple as they parked their car at an apartment complex in the 1100 block of Larabee Street at around 4:45 p.m, a Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department spokesman said. The victim, who did not want to be identified, said his wife has been left terrified by the attack.

"He told me to give him the watch... the bag. I told them to leave my wife because she is nine months pregnant," he said. "She doesn't want to go outside alone, doesn’t want to stay in the home alone."

Residents are shocked the men would commit such a brazen crime at that time of day in a parking garage with a security camera. They slipped into the garage through the entrance before the electronic gate closed. Both wore white T-shirts and one was wearing a beanie hat.

"The guys who committed this crime surely must have seen (the) camera going in, but apparently they didn’t care," neighbor Derrick Shore  said.

Deputies were not able to catch the robbers, despite arriving at the scene within a minute of the crime. A suspicious light green four-door vehicle was reported as being in the area around the time of the robbery.
