One local restaurant is serving up Texas-style dishes for fans to enjoy while watching Park View take on the Southwest team on the restaurants flat screens. The game starts at 5 p.m. on ESPN2 or ESPN360.com.
Park View supporters watched Sunday as the sluggers shut out Peabody, Mass., 14-0.
"The community has really come out to support Park View Little League," said Chuck Ross, owner of South Bay Fish & Grill. "There has been more than $100,000 raised to help the families of the team cover travel expenses."
The South Bay Fish & Grill is located at 570 Marina Parkway on the Chula Vista harbor.
Even if Park View loses this game, they will still be in the running. If they win Tuesdays game they will be the number one seed and play Staten Island Wednesday night. If they lose, they'll be the number two seed and take Warner Robins from Georgia Thursday night. (Click here for the full LLWS Schedule).
The Park View Little League website has issued a fraud alert warning people to not give donations to people going door to door, at shopping malls, etc. There have been people going around gathering money and claiming it's for the team. If you would like to donate money to the team, visit their website.
