Sounds Like San Diego: July 30

It wouldn't be Monday night in San Diego without Anti-Monday League and, though there aren't many live options around town tonight, you really don't need to look much further than Lucy Michelle & the Velvet Lapelles. The Minnesota sextet has a unique sound -- described as "organic psych-folk" by some -- with unique instrumentation that includes eukeleles, accordion and cello among more traditional instruments. The band is touring on its fourth full-length, HEAT, and should melt away your Monday blues. East County's Ugly Boogie kicks off the night, and since they're one of San Diego's best up-and-coming bands, you'll be hearing a lot about them in the future.
