Sounds Like San Diego: Feb. 4

The queen of boogie woogie performs at Panama 66 on Super Bowl Sunday

Yee. Freaking. Haw. It's game day. This week, Alex Trebek berated a bunch of nerds for their lack of football knowledge, reminding thousands of us watching that we're nerds, too. So I'm on the fence about watching the game, but when it's all said and done, there is still some fun to be had tonight. At Bar Pink, there's an early punk show with Dead on a Wire and Homeless Sexuals followed by Rat Sabbath. Sycamore Den usually gets things cooking around 7 p.m. and tonight you can support Dillon Casey and Native Harrow from Nashville, or enjoy an evening at Balboa Park with the legendary Sue Palmer. True, it's not a lot of choices and the usual venues are taking a night off, but we'll be all back to normal tomorrow.
