Ruston Grau is the Managing Editor for NBC 7 and Telemundo 20 in San Diego. Ruston has been covering the news in San Diego for more than two decades. He has worked in multiple roles as a News Producer, Assignment Editor, and Executive Producer. In his current assignment, he manages the day-to-day content for the newsroom and works to discover and report compelling stories for the communities across San Diego County.

Ruston calls many neighborhoods home across San Diego home having lived in Rancho Peñasquitos, Tierrasanta, La Mesa, Clairemont, and El Cajon. Ruston is a graduate of Mt. Carmel High School and, with his wife, Ashley, is raising a family in the San Diego community.

In addition to covering daily stories across San Diego, Ruston enjoys tracking the weather across the Southern California Microclimates. He holds a Certification in Broadcast Meteorology from Mississippi State University as well as a Degree in Broadcast Journalism from Oklahoma Christian University.
