Ginger Conejero Saab reports for NBC Bay Area’s morning news program, Today in the Bay.
Ginger joined NBC Bay Area in 2020 and has covered several major stories, including hate crimes against the Asian American and Pacific Islander community, several Northern California wildfires, and the COVID-19 vaccine rollout across the Bay Area.
Prior to NBC Bay Area, Ginger was a broadcast journalist and producer for ABS-CBN International’s The Filipino Channel (TFC), where she was the host and producer of the popular Adobo Nation – a weekly magazine talk show that blends news features and lifestyle topics relevant to Filipino-Americans living in the U.S. She also anchored TFC’s news alerts and filled in at the desk for the station’s daily newscast.
Before TFC in Daly City, Ginger worked at ABS-CBN Corporation in the Philippines for ten years in various roles, including field reporter for TV Patrol World, news anchor for Mornings@ANC, and morning show host and reporter for Umagang Kay Ganda. She covered multiple Presidential elections, the Duterte first family, the 2015 Papal visit to the Philippines, Miss Universe pageants, studio junkets, and regional and local entertainment news.
Ginger was born and raised in San Francisco. She speaks fluent Tagalog and Ilonggo, a Philippine dialect. She received aBachelor of Arts degree in Political Science and Government from the University of Southern California.
