Last year, more than 6,300 passengers were bumped off flights.

Getting bumped because of an overbooked flight depends on which airline you're flying.

Last year, more than 6,300 passengers were bumped off flights.  The government says the biggest bumpers in 2008 include Southwest Airlines, which averaged nearly 4 bumps per 10,000 fliers .

Southwest was followed by Comair and American Eagle Airlines.  Some overbook to ensure their flights are full.

The airline with the least amount of bumped passengers was Jet Blue. It only bumped 22 passengers out of 22 million.  Jetblue says it is "against policy"  to oversell flights.
