Looters, Tear Gas Return to Ferguson's Streets

Armored vehicles and tear gas returned to the streets of Ferguson, Missouri, early Saturday after tensions were reignited over the fatal police shooting of an unarmed black teen, NBC News reported. Although calm had settled over Ferguson Thursday night, looters began ransacking stores after police released surveillance footage they say shows Michael Brown involved in a robbery soon before an officer, they identified Friday as four-year veteran Darren Wilson, shot him dead. The release of the footage infuriated Brown's family, who said that the police were trying to smear the teenager's name and justify a "brutal assassination" in broad daylight.
