An eyewitness took the stand during a pretrial hearing of three men accused in the murder of a Mission Beach teenager during a Craigslist deal gone bad.
Gang members Rashon Abernathy, Seandell Jones and Shaquille Jordan are accused of killing 18-year-old Garrett Berki on May 11. Berki and his girlfriend had gone to Paradise Hills to pick up a laptop computer advertised for sale on Craigslist.
Elizabeth Reilly told her account on Wednesday of that night and how she helped Berki's girlfriend moments after the shooting.
“She threw open the car door and came flying out of the car yelling do you have a cell phone can you call 911 he's been shot, he's been shot,” Reilly testified.
The defendants are all charged with murder, even though prosecutors say only one of them fired a gun.
The three teens have pleaded "not guilty."
