The fatal accident happened on the 805 freeway Friday afternoon.

The victim of a fatal rollover crash on southbound Interstate 805 in Chula Vista has been identified by the medical examiner.

According to the ME, 20-year-old Escondido resident Sebastian Aranda was the passenger who died in the freeway collision that happened Friday afternoon.

According to authorities, the crash happened around 5:15 p.m. near the Main Street and Auto Park Drive exit.

Medics were requested for two patients but Aranda was pronounced dead at the scene.
