WATCH: The Moon Eclipsed Mars

On January 30, the moon eclipsed mars in what is referred to as an Occultation. That’s when a planet disappears from our view directly behind the moon’s left side and reappears an hour later on the opposite side. Only a small portion of the planet was able to see the occultation, including areas between southern California all the way to northern Florida, and as far north as Oklahoma.
