Billions of dollars going toward fighting invasive algae in San Diego Bay

Billions of dollars are being set aside to fight a new threat to our local bays and beaches. A new type of seaweed has made its way into San Diego Bay, despite it now being illegal in California. As NBC 7’s Brooke Martell shows us, it’s a race against the clock for local agencies to remove it.
