The Rise of Hobo Johnson

Frank Lopez, who goes by the moniker Hobo Johnson, and his band the Lovemakers came out of nowhere when their NPR Tiny Desk concert entry exploded on YouTube. They recently made their second 2018 trip to San Diego, this time to the House of Blues, where SoundDiego TV reporter Kalani was lying in wait.
