Politically Speaking: ‘Housing First' Strategy

It’s going to be hard to catch up with building all the homes that are needed here in California. At least 100,000 a year, probabaly more, beyond what’s already planned, given our current population growth. Fifteen bills that the governor’s just signed and a big bond issue on next year’s ballot could raise $1 billion a year over five years to help subsidize low-income residents. NBC 7’s Gene Cubbison speaks with Assemblymember Todd Gloria about the problem.
