Politically Speaking: Voter Education

There are voting drives and campaign posters urging people to get out and vote but numbers show that it’s not working and it’s getting worse especially among the younger voters. A UC Davis study shows in San Diego County only 7.6 percent of the eligible voters in the 18-24 age range voted in the 2014 election. Justice Judith McConnell of the 4th appellate district court of appeal and San Diego Schools Superintendent Cindy Marten spoke with NBC 7’s Marianne Kushi about a strategy that they hope will work statewide to improve these numbers.
