At some schools here in San Diego, private, non-profit organizations made up of parent volunteers can provide a lot of money for their kids’ education. Other schools get government money to help. NBC7’s Catherine Garcia and Voice of San Diego’s Mario Koran explain the difference between the funding and who ends up missing out on money the most.
